We collect old microphones!

It all started by some coincidence and became sort of habitual. Because not all of you can visit us in our studio, we decided to show off our ‘old mics stuff’ on the internet. Most of them aren’t fit for recording, but look perfectly on a shelf; however, some models are still pretty much usable. Our collection is far from being complete. There are loads of mics out there in the world and in Poland, about which we can only dream of. We hope that with time, our dream will come true :)

New microphone! PHILIPS EV 7011/21/NO

Another dynamic microphone with a familiar shape. We already have similar models branded as Hornyphone, Uher, and AKG in our collection. Now this beautifully preserved Philips joins them.

New microphone! UHER M942

This is not your everyday set from the Uher brand. What intrigues us the most is what the plastic element with rubber bands in this whole set was for. We have no idea. Do you?

New microphone! LEM 409

French microphones are, unfortunately, a rarity in our collection. Therefore, we are especially pleased with this excellently preserved LEM specimen. We hope that, over time, we will acquire more pieces from across the Seine.

New microphone! AKG D 707C

At first glance, it looks quite worn out. The lettering is worn off, it's slightly tarnished, and the foam under the grille is crumbling. But technically, it's an excellent microphone, proving with its sound that AKG products endure years of use very patiently.

New microphone! UNKNOWN

Could this be a prop from the Amazon series "Fallout"? It would certainly fit in any steampunk production. We know nothing about this piece. The only clue is "1943" on the plug. Help us out.

New microphone! UHER M645

Unbeknownst to us, the Usher brand did not gain as much popularity as competing German companies. And yet, they released several cool products. Today's microphone is quite a rare specimen and an underdog. However, the brand always maintains quality.

New microphone! OKTAWA MD-44

Have you ever seen a microphone on a stand with suction cups? Neither have we. That's why we were particularly excited about this Russian Oktava from 1969. Unfortunately, the base is damaged and has been temporarily set up just for the photo.

New microphone! PIEZO MX 4 Orange

We already have three such models produced by the Piezoelektronika cooperative in Tychy, and now a fourth one has joined. They differ only in color. There were eight colors in the palette. Simple conclusion, we are halfway to completing the set.

New microphone! RFT DM 2416N

This RFT model wasn't really suitable for studio use, but it worked great in everyday industrial communication. Convenient "gooseneck," activation button on the body, and now we can announce arrivals and departures.

New microphone! Webster Chicago MM-35

Do you know the company Webster? The oldest people in Chicago probably do. The brand revolutionized the reel-to-reel tape recorder market in the 40s by releasing models that were half the price of the competition. But those who live by the sword die by the sword. The invasion of cheap equipment from Germany and Japan finished Webster Chicago in the 60s.
